Set within a rolling, dramatic and open landscape with sweeping westerly views of the Green Mountains, the Woodstock Pool affords the client and their expanding family with a space for relaxation, peace, and fun.  As in all of SBLA’s projects, the adjacent and borrowed landscape played a pivotal role in the planning and design of each of the spaces that make up the pool and gardens. All of the materials and plant choices are of the simplest form and distribution and allow for a conscious and unconscious connection to the land. In addition to the 25’ x 50’ swimming pool with two lap lanes, the pool garden is composed of a dining terrace, chaise lounge pads, sunning lawn, private garden room, pool house, and fire pit.
